EXPERIENCE ; 'THE UNIT OF LIFE'.

The 'Unit of life' becomes an 'experience' !
When we analyses an 'experience', we can certainly understand that in order to produce an experience, there must be an experience and the experienced with a relationship between the two, called the 'experiencing'. The experience of the circumstances in our life , certainly, is not an unintelligent physical body but an intelligent agent; the MIND.
Mind is the 'subject ', and the 'object' is the world outside and the circumstances. In its relationship or reaction to the object, the subject gains the phenomenon called EXPERIENCE.
Here again, on a closer analysis, we can also observe easily that a given set of circumstances does not produce the same kind of 'experience' in all the individuals reacting to it! 
For example : the hose no. 44 in the 8th  street is reported on fire. The news is, to the many, only of just an incident of a house on fire. But to the people living in the street no eight, it is certainly a more poignant incident and therefore the news to them is of 'the house on fire in my street'. Again, to the individual to whom the house belongs, it is the greatest tragedy, since to him it is, 'my house on fire' !!
Thus the external circumstances remaining the same as 'a house on fire', different subjects having different 'relationship' with the object come to gain their different textures of their experiences.
Certainly then, a lot of attention is to be given by each individual in fixing a correct relationship between himself and the world outside, in order that in a healthy reaction between the two, a glorious experience may be produced for the individual.

PHILOSOPHY IN ACTION... RELIGION !!!

A philosophy, however great it may be, can not of its own accord bless any generation. Though it is known that Aspirin can cure headache, this knowledge in itself is not a guarantee against headache when one is suffering. One has to go out and procure the medicine, administer it to oneself and wait patiently until the medicine gets itself completely absorbed in the system.

Similarly, a philosophy, whether it is political, economic or spiritual, can not of itself bless the generation, simply because we have codified them and have adorned our libraries. A nation is wise or a community happy, only to the degree to which, in its behavior and transaction of life, attunes itself to its intellectually accepted philosophical truths.
Philosophy lived in our day-to-day life is called RELIGION.
Various easy methods are discovered and prescribed by the seers. If they are followed even unconsciously a generation can be made to live the creative instincts and philosophical values in life.
Religion is not only in the Temples and Churches, it is in our heart, to be faithfully followed at all times in our life.

MAN IS A FOUR-IN-ONE PERSONALITY.

Each individual is not merely a physical entity, but a FOUR-IN-ONE personality.

A man has certainly a physical existence; but in him are still three more layers of individuality as the mental, intellectual and spiritual. All these four personalities are, as it were, telescoped into each other, so that for the gross external physical structure, for the purpose of a cultural analysis, he has to be considered as 'four entities, bundled up into one'.
A mere satisfaction of the physical body alone will not and can not satisfy the individual.
Were we but animal entities, in no way better than the buffaloes in our back-yard, certainly, we would have been very very happy in having got a large amount of food to eat, good shelter and good physical comforts.

But unfortunately, man does not possess a mere body alone. He has the other faculties and their demands. When the primary needs for the minimum comforts of the body are satisfied, there comes the demands of the mind and the intellect ; the demands to satisfy our thirst for love, for mercy, for kindness or for charity ; the thirst for beauty , for perfection, for knowledge or for accomplishment.

Again when we analyse we find that even when a man is well accomplished, he has also ample chances for his intellectual, mental and physical well being, yet, there, in him remains the the need or the urge to seek a greater happiness. There is the silent call from the SPIRIT !!
The spiritual entity in us is not satisfied with the physical comforts or mental occupations or intellectual accomplishments. It still looks ahead irresistibly to the BEYOND ; beyond the body, mind and intellect, into the ampler fields of immense love and endless beauty.
It wants to break asunder all the limitations imposed upon it by the frail body, the limited mind and the shackled intellect. It certainly seeks fresh fields and pastures new. This eternal thirst of a fully developed individual is called , in the spiritual literature, as the eternal urge of the spirit, the "UNREST OF THE SOUL".
To satisfy this, comes the great institution called Religion.
Here i mean religion in its ample and truer sense of the term and not the decadent religions that are seen lingering in our own times!

VEDANTA REQUIRES OF US A RE-ESTIMATE , A RE- INTERPRETATION OF THE WORLD.

The philosophy of Vedanta
never ever  laughs at, and ignore
the manifested world of phenomena !
IT says though, that....
"The world is only a
'dream-like' delusion", and
let there be no confusion.

Vedanta requires of us
only to make a re-estimate of the world 
with a re-interpretation of it,
more intelligent and subtle
to find out the way !

We, at this moment,
with our vision as squint
do see the world as ugly!
Maladjusted and partial,
abominable and undivine,
a field for pain and agony,
a theater for death and disaster,
a tomb of sorrows and sobs,
a den of disappointments and despairs !

Loved and Died, Died and Loved~ Changing words around

She has loved and died

            The death of ego was death to be

She has died and loved

                 The love of self in all was love to be

               She  loved till her fear disappeared

                            The fear of being separate no longer existed

                 She became fearless when she loved

                      The love had no other to form separable

        She loved and lived dangerously

                 Oh this world a stage, all indeed actors

                  When she lived dangerously it was love

                             Changing scenes and changing characters easily

She indeed loved and loved

                        The ego disappeared from her very bosom 

Till love became only SHE

                       No she and no love it was all pure energy 

Deliberate Proactiveness!

A short blog on  Speculations around a situation at work that I failed to respond to in a proactive manner..

We read and discuss, we ponder and speculate, we analyze and debate and yet we stay the same?
Let us be honest. The words that flow, the spiritual laws that seem to fit all scenes when needed to practice are forgotten. At the drop of the hat when a stressful situation comes up we respond exactly as we have been for many years due to our default personality that we have built over years.

What must be the aim every day of the day, every hour, every second  and every moment?  The first thought-in morning –should be a deliberate thought that thou shall not forget that you are not the body, neither the mind, thou shall not forget that the mind is an equipment, thou shall not forget that you are the changeless, the eternal the undefeated Atman. To any question that may be that why would "negating" help us respond better, the answer is that the greater the clarity of SELF, the less reactive one becomes.   And then when we fall  rise again better and stronger from last time  to start all over again. Without fear without regret of the failure.

That which we repeat to ourselves again and again and again creates the first change in our way reacting to anything.

Answer: Deliberate proactive suggestion of what one is repeated several times.

We must experiment on ourselves to try to consciously change our responses to everyday challenges.

WISDOM IS FOR THE MAN OF 'FAITH' (SRADDHA) ALONE !

"Sraddhavaan llabhate gyaanam".... (Gita, ch. 4 / 39).

Perhaps no other spiritual TERM has been so badly mauled by the priest class and so profitably polluted by the laity in Religion.

Sraddha is not blind-faith, as it is generally understood. IT is a healthy attempt at a clear intellectual appreciation of the secret depths of the significance underlying the words of the scriptures and the Teacher.
'That by which one understands the exact import of the scriptures as well as the pregnant words of advice of the preceptor is called SRADDHA by the wise ; by this alone does REALITY becomes manifestly clear' !.....(Adi Shankaracharya).
'Have FAITH, my son, have faith !
Have no delusion about this !
You are KNOWLEDGE itself !
You are the Lord ; You are the Self !
You are beyond nature!'.........(Sage Astavakra).
